To put this to rest, I don't think the current architecture will allow it. But, who knows, there might be a variant model in a few weeks which does...

My hope was not necessarily for all 3 active WAN interfaces but that when only using WAN2 / Ethernet, not using ADSL at all, fallback could happen onto 3G.

I'm guessing that 3 WAN on the 2820 probably will not become a reality with the due release of the 2830 this month!
