Another +1 for failover between ethernet and 3G. Would really like to be able to use this as a backup solution to my cable provider.

You can do this on the Vigor2830; triple WAN is one of the features of that compared to the Vigor2820.

That's great, but I've got a 2820 and I'd rather get the full potential out of it than shell out for a 2830 and spend 3 years waiting for features that should work out of the box to work.

If I need to change it won't be to another DrayTek with the way support for the 2820 has been going.

It was never a supported feature; the product could only ever use EITHER 3G or Ethernet as the second WAN.
