can any one tell me the ideal figure for the snr margin and loop att
as i am getting snr 7 and loop 45, also if you know any fixes, the low snr keeps causing me to get booted off net

there are a number of variables that affect attenuation and snr

this is a doc I've found useful, if now slightly old, that gives a few thoughts on what to consider

With G.DMT (regular ADSL) you want an SNR of 10 or more, if it's less than that then you'll probably get errors and an unstable connection.

With ADSL2, you should see an SNR of 6 normally, wth ADSL2, SNR is a variable tradeoff between speed and stability. Usually if it's less than 6 then you'll see errors & disconnections unless it's a really good line. Some ISPs will put the SNR up to 9 or 12 to keep things more stable.

my snr is rather unstable and frequently drops below 5 causing no end of computing and gaming problems, i would like to stabilise it
