Well, its arrived, configured and up and running on Be, got an increase in speed as well, and so far seems stable on 3db profile. Nice low pings of 15ms, and uploading almost 2mb.

Loads of options, loads to play with, and when virgin gets installed, then I will have some fun.

Setting up Nat and wireless - no issues at all, got 8 static ips and all seems fine.

Will report more in a few days once the dust has settled. But now has come the time to retire my netgear adsl router and cisco pix, they have served me well. Had the pix for quite a few years, but its a bit long in the tooth now.

I'm envious:-)
How much of a speed increase and what's different in the v3 firewall?

Got an extra 2.5ish down and an extra .75mb up, well chuffed

Firewall - dont know what the previous options were, but there are loads, under DoS defense -

Enable -

Syn flood, UDP flood, ICMP Flood, Port scan detection, and loads of blocking options

Still loads to play with, but very happy so far, was worried about spending this kinda of dosh on a new router, when my pix has been going for years with out issue, the only problem really was my netgear was pants. And getting virgin soon, with this and my boss paying for one connection, I can have 2 load balanced nicely (hopefully)

True but i'm hoping more reliable than the 2820 with the additional features

My 2820 has had its issues , however my 2800 was the best router I had.
So hope the 2830 will be better
