2800G and PS3 was created by interceptor02
Is there any known issues with the 2800g and a PS3?
I know its an old router but I trying to get the NAT type to be "opened" at the moment its on NAT type 2 on the PS3. I am not PS3 person my son is playing COD Black ops and whings about it being NAT type 2.
Is there are way of configuring the router so the NAT is open for the PS3?

The easiest way is to enable UPnP from the Applications menu on the 2800's web interface, the PS3 should then be able to set up its own port forwarding as needed.
