IS IT POSSIBLE!?! was created by seanyp321
Hello all,
I want a DD WRT flashed router so that I can create a proxy VPN . However this requires a PPPoE/cable router. No problem, I bridge my ADSL modem and connect it. BUT I have an infamous Vodafone Sure Signal, which 'requires' PPPoA (don't ask me why, but it does). Will any of the draytek modems allow me to plug a PPPoE router in AND maintain my PPPoA connection? Is there a product that is an ADSL router with a a PPPoE client that can bypass the router functionality?
Or if I use a a draytek modem could I go...
ISP
draytek----PPPoE DSL router
----PPPoA router --- vodafone sure signal
Or does DHCP etc. meake this not possible. Forgive me if my terminology is not spot on. I'm not a networking guru. I just know what I want;)
many many thanks
