Throughput Limited was created by jasonwinfield
Router: 2820Vn
Firmware: 3.3.4.1_232201

Hi,

I have an IP profile of 3mb however my router seems to be restricting me to 1.3mb.

I have not set any bandwidth limits and my QoS is disabled.

I noticed this after updating to the most recent firmware.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. have sent an email to tech support but forums are usually quicker :)

Regards

Jason

That's probably an issue that pops up sometimes with 3.3.4.1 - you can get the later 3.3.5.1 firwmare from here and that should fix things:

Also experiment with your MTU thats the reason 3.3.4.1 is slow it included a field on the web interface for the first time to set the MTU. Problem is they set it at a default value that does not work for most people.

1442 works mostly without problems in my experience but yes with BT networks the MTU should be 1458.
If the MTU is too big, you'll mostly see the internet just stop working, but it's worth checking whether it improves speeds.
