Setting up 2820n with Be Unlimited adsl2+ was created by juicybiscuit
Trying to set up mu friends Be Unlimited with a Vigor 2820n and having problems finding out exactly what settings to use. Need to go back there tomorrow to try and get it connected.

They have the UNlimited package so no static IP but there's so many options in the Vigor setup I'm having problems. I found the following settings online below:

Type / Protocol: ETHoA (Ethernet over ATM, also known as MPoA, IPoATM,
or RFC 1483) (May be called RFC 2684 on newer routers)
VPI = 0
VCI = 101
Encapsulation: LLC-based (If presented with a choice, Bridged IP
rather than Routed IP)
Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A (or for Upload+, G.992.5 Annex M)
Primary DNS server: 87.194.255.154 (or OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222, or
GoogleDNS: 8.8.8.8)
Secondary DNS server: 87.194.255.155 (or OpenDNS: 208.67.220.220, or
GoogleDNS: 8.8.4.4

Encapsulation: 1483 Bridged IP LLC
Subnet mask: 255.255.240.0
Gataway: 78.105.0.1
DNS1: 87.194.0.51
DNS2: 87.194.0.66

Was unsure about the gateway IP address above - surely that would be different for each Be subscriber? If so how do I determine mine? I have the Vigor synching with the ADSL and handshaking/showtime but no internet as such..... anyone have any experience with this sort of set up and can provide me with the correct settings/advice?

See below:

These settings are for a fixed IP, so if yours is not fixed, select the appropriate option on the right.
Also you will need to change the modulation to ADSL2+ (G.992.5) - The settings shown are for a Pro account with upload+

Select Disable on the PPPoA / PPPoE tab.

The Gateway address should not need to be set if you are on DHCP, but if you need it it should be on the activation letter sent by Be

The DNS servers can be set to whichever you prefer - I am using OpenDNS
