Absolutely. As long as you don't try anything daft like putting a V2 firmware on it you won't brick it.

Not that I know of. Often in the forum folk will say "I'm on a really long line" or "I've got an ADSL2+ connection" etc. and usually someone with knowledge and/or experience will pipe up (Voodle, you're usually excellent with this, what would you say for ADSL2+? )
