Guys (and gals) ,

Im trying to configure a VigorPro 5300 . I am very familiar with 2600 , 2800 , 2820 , 2900 , 2900 models but a newnie to the VigorPro 5300 .

I have configured the router and cannot get port 25 to forward in the normal way and activated the anti spam , anti intrusion , and anti virus trials .

I cannot telnet to port 25 on the mail server when done . If I DMZ the IP to the mail server on WAN2 , the MX record linked WAN then I can telnet and see the Exchnage SMTP banner.

I have left it like this but am not really happy with this temporary fix. Im sure its something dumb Im not doing ....

Also , can someone define "Reset", "tag" , and "pass" , in the spam filter page ? Mainly the "reset" setting .

Does any one have a good way to quantify and test the spam filter? We use GFI mail Essentials and security at this site and I can check that software . Im hoping to replace it with the Vigor if the 5300 does the business of spam and malware detection and exclusion . The documentation and support seems poor.

I'm not sure if the 5300 was ever sold over here but it's pretty much the same as the 5510 (which I don't know much about).
