Tooway satellite broadband was created by pjirwin1
Hi I'm trying to connect tooway satellite broadband (viasat router) to the WAN2 port on my Vigor 2830 - which the tooway suppliers recommended but don't support; I've got talktalk ADSL on the WAN1 and although the tooway is showing as connected I cant actually seem to access internet through it if I switch the WAN1 to backup mode. Anyone know how to successfully set this up - my ADSL speed is about 2 Mb/s & the satellite 10Mbs so obviously hoping to use that as the main connection

i've read the latency on the saterlite "tooway" can be at best around 500msec,
are requests timing out?
Or is it not showing connected at all? - Online status > physical connection - wan2 status

if its not showing connected, on the Wan > internet access menu, how is WAN2 setup?
the WAN connection detection is it set as ARP or ping? if ping what is your TTL set as?

Thanks for your response - I contacted Draytek's premium support line who were very helpful and it turned out to be a firewall issue
