2750n and Netgear GS116 switch was created by pcripps
I have a 2750n connected to a Netgear Prosafe 16 port gigabit switch. Any computers connected through the Netgear switch cannot establish a connection. The connection just says 'Identifying...' but never makes a connection. The Netgear switch was working perfectly with the hardware i had before purchasing the 2750n

I swapped the Netgear switch with a cheap 8 port switch from a company called Tenda and had no problems at all.

Why am I having problems with the Netgear switch? Is there some configuration change that I can make on the 2750n?

I connect to my 2750Vn using a Netgear Prosafe 8 port switch no problem (OK not 16 port but still a GS model).

Have you checked cabling ?

I once accidently started using my old ethernet crossover lead (left over from PC to PC connection days !!!) and that cause real network funnies as it works OK with some switches/PC's that have auto crossover detection but not with others. Lead is now in loft in poly bag to prevent accidental use in the future.
