I recently replaced our dead Vigor 100 with the Vigor 120.

Since installing the 120, I find the internet connection drops for approx 30-40 seconds, sometimes multiple times a day. It always reconnects but obviously it's not something I want to happen.

I changed nothing else, just the modem.

Any ideas?

My opinion is to connect it via pc and go do manually at wan>internet access ... your isp settings such VPI/VCI and set correct MTU and set manually adsl 2+ then try again with the router if still drops
If still issues try different modem code 3471101 is from the best for the v2 or 344101,344001,3431301 for the v1

We have a 120 that started doing this a while back. Firmware upgrade didn't help, return to Draytek didn't help. Had to retire it in the end.

Yep we've had lots of v120 v2 modems on customer's sites do this too!
Firmware updates dont help!

Most of them seem to overheat when you start putting data through them
I think thats what causes the drops!

We're binning these now, they are just not up to the job!
