Hi all, we have 2 drayteks in our offices (1 has a network of 128.128.128.x and the other has a network of 192.168.12.x). They share the same internal cabling throughout the office and I was hoping someone could tell me how to link the 2 (so that me, on a 128.x network can communicate with the 12.x network)

Static routes on each gateway?

Thank you, I'm going to try that tonight (afraid to do it at the moment because you can never really tell most of the time whether a config change will force router to reboot (with no warning) and kick all users off the internet.

Unless there is a way of knowing and I'm just not aware of it?

although that might not work straight off as you need a interface/network to router via.

Hi, I tried that last night but still no luck. Here is the setup if you wouldn't mind taking a look...

Router 1 (Draytek 2860). Gateway 128.128.128.6
Router 2 (Draytek 2600), Gateway 192.168.12.6

I have a cable running direct between both routers and this is what I have in the static route of the 2860..
Destination IP = 192.168.12.0
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP = 192.168.12.6

and this is what is on the 2600 (This has been left 'as is' because this router has been in place for a long time and used to have link to our old Watchguard Firebox (which the 2860 has replaced).

Destination IP = 128.128.128.0
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP = 192.168.12.100

Hope you can spot what is wrong there.

What ports internlink the routers, the two networks need to be aware of each other, you cant just put in a static route to the other network if the router isn't aware of it in the 1st place.
