I am looking at changing ISP, is anyone using a Vigor 2830 with Zen's Fibre Service?

Hi may i ask why do you want a 2830 for fibre ... The 2830 is only adsl modem and has an other (2nd incoming) wan so you can use it in combination with the BT openreach modem

You may mean the 2850 or all in one is the 2760n & 2860n

Its just that I have Sky Fibre at the moment and it was mentioned last year that the 2830 would work with Fibre so I went out and bought one, I did have it working on WAN with the MER Beta firmware provided by Charlie @ Draytek. The router then stopped connecting possible because of a change SKY made. I am not approaching then end of my contract with SKY and want to move to Zen after a recommendation from a friend.

As you are saying that this is not suitable, can you suggest a decent router to use with Fibre that has VPN functions.

sorry if the 2830 is only adsl modem but its extra wan port is still helpfull ... the 2850, 2860 & 2760 models has VPN but again not sure if they will work with sky or if you get the full speed as the BT modem so if any other user/memner seen your thread hope they will give a light
