Draytek Vigor 120 - slow performance was created by unrealone1
Hi all,

I have BT socket into a Draytek 120 (out the box configuration) and then into WAN port on a Cisco/Juniper/Sonicwall firewall.

It will work fine for a few weeks even up to 6, then suddenly the broadband will drop to snails pace and will not speed up until you reboot the Draytek modem.

I have this setup for 2 or 3 customers who have ADSL broadband, and it's now happening regularly for both of them.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

you can set manually their isp adsl parameters if will help and try another modem code ...it may be because their SNR drops ... but as far i know there is an issue with some 120's units (search vigor 120 in the forum) but i may be wrong so contact the support

The firewall handles the isp authentication.

They are designed for compatibility with local exchange and synchronization/stability
If you have the 120 here
ftp://ftp.draytek.com/Vigor120/Firmware/V3.2.4.4/
344001,343701,3431301,332201 to my experience are the most stable

if you have the 120 v2 here
ftp://ftp.draytek.com/Vigor120%20V2/Firmware/V3.2.6/AnnexA/
same modem codes are applying & here

Thanks for your reply, are these just firmware upgrades?

I have Vigor 120 .v2

I have looked at the encapsulation and it is set to "1483 bridged IP LLC" which will be the default, this correct?

Current firmware is 3.2.4.4
