The payback was that it totally stuffed the VPN connections - they would not pass data and would drop/reconnect every 30-40 seconds. I had to downgrade to 3.3.5.2 to get everything working again.

Where in the 2820 release notes did you read about the fix? 3.3.7.5 updates SSL to fix CVE-2014-0224, but not CVE-2014-3566.

According to the link provided by eskdale above, the 2820 is not going to be updated with TLS as it is "considered to have reached end of life". New router for work then. :(

Are you talking about dial in VPN or Lan-Lan VPN? I have a 2820 at work and a 2830 at home, now both updated to the latest relevant firmware, and my Lan-Lan VPN session is rock solid.

Simon.

Draytek 2830n-plus v1 (which is the original dual band model) still doesn't have firmware v 3.6.8
Surprisingly, single band version of firmware exists.

Does anybody know if a new firmware is going to be issued for the 2830 dual band model?
Does an older firmware support TLS and is it possible to enable TLS via telnet?

Many thanks

It's a current product so should get the update; ask support.
You cannot enable TLS until the f/w supports it.
