I have a remote dial in user defined to allow me access back into my home LAN via VPN

When I sign in, the 2830 allocates me an IP address OK as expected BUT the subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.255 instead of 255.255.255.0 that is defined in the LAN definition that this dial-in user is associated with

This was working fine a couple of months ago (I don't use it THAT often)

How can I find out why I am not getting the correct subnet mask??

that's the way the VPN works IIRC there probably isn't a default gateway either but you can still ping the address on the remote network.
