Hi guys

Can I Fix an 'absolute' bandwidth limit on an IP address?

I have generally set the bandwidth mangement to auto adjustment.
Two of our addresses are heavy users of Netflix, and when one or both start watching there is not a lot of bandwidth left.

I have already made a Limitation List in the Bandwidth Management, and these two ip addresses have only been given 700 each.
However over time, I notice that they climp into 1500 plus each while other users just cant get the bandwidth out of the remainder.

So, I may be doing this wrong I guess..
But is there a way to place a HARD ceiling limit on a range of two ip addresses, while the others are able to flex between themselves?

Present settings
Bandwidth Management >> Bandwidth Limit
Bandwidth limit: Enable
Default TX Limit: 200 Default RX Limit: 800
Allow auto adjustment to make the best utilization of available bandwidth. {Y}
Limitation List includes..
192.168.1.6 to 192.168.1.7 Each TX Limit: 200 RX Limit: 700

(Probably makes no difference but they are all on Wi-Fi)

Appreciate any ideas..

I am not sure if you need enable & QoS (never treid) ... but it could be fault of the feature
At mine the feature Wireless LAN >> Bandwidth Management, even if i set auto adjustment or per station limit ... sometimes it goes over the specific limit i have set
It could be the same and for the normal bandwidth limit but never tried it, just adding and for wifi sometimes it goes over the one is been set so there is a case to apply the same

That's helpful to know.

I haven't ever used QoS. I think its time I bit the bullet and picked up on it. Though by the time I get going it may well be time to change the router... :-)
