2860 trying to use 192.168.2 primary LAN was created by wicklowpc
Upgrading router to a 2860
Have a pre-existing network using 192.168.2.
We have a mixture of devices so I want to keep the primary lan on 192.168.2
Trying to change the LAN1 range causes issues as LAN2 is configured for 192.168.2 and is disabled. You cant use same subnet as disabled lan.
Enable VLAN.
Change LAN2 to different net .20 and then change LAN1 from .1 to .2
After reboot you can no longer reach the web interface on 192.168.2.1

? Stuck ?

Did you remember to modify the DHCP ranges?

If you set a static IP on your device in the 192.168.2.x range, does it let you connect?

thanks Steve.
Yes even with manual IP it doesn't respond.
Once LAN1 was set to 192.168.2 I had to use the hard reset to get back in?

Does it do the same thing if you attempt the same changes after a hard-reset?

Did you reboot after each IP change? I'm just wondering if you changed both IPs without a reboot, it could somehow get confused and apply the same IP to both interfaces.

Did you try capturing any packets with Wireshark while it was in the broken state? Might give a clue as to what was happening!
