Hello Guys,

I am a Draytek newbie so bare with me. I have being given a Draytek Vigor 2820 router with ADSL and WAN, now I can only use the WAN side because I have just had fibre optic broadband installed. So from my media converter which takes in the Fibre, then convert it to LAN which goes into the WAN port on the Draytek. So I have gone through the setup process and entered in my ISP PPOE details, and then Internet lights up and work absolutely fine. Now the problem is, lets say I want to download an ISO of Windows from microsoft, it hangs on time remaining and then says network error download failed. I have tried several computers, each computer was plugged into LAN 1 on the Draytek and still nothing, if I plug back in my old NETGEAR I have no problems what so ever.

Can anybody help me please, it is driving me crazy.

Thanks for reading,

James

Not sure if will help but worth to try

Disable wan 1 & usb (wan > general setup)
wan > general setup > wan 2, set Physical Type auto, always on, enable
wan > internet access make sure you have MTU 1492
Disable DoS (Firewall >> DoS defense Setup)

You can also try update your unit with the *rst* file extension & also see the released notes from this post i explain how
