2760 & Vectoring was created by tacitus
Anyone know if Firmware 3.7.5.4 on the 2760 supports vectoring? The VDSL2 firmware is 548006_A so is it this that would need updating for vectoring?

No doubt if it doesn't, there will be an update to either support it or make it 'vectoring friendly'.

yes it does support vectoring the 3.7.5.4
You can get it from here (after download you will see 2-3 folders) the ones named vector is the one you looking for
ftp://ftp.draytek.com/Vigor2760_Delight/Firmware/
You can also get & the latest 3.7.8 which has 2 vectoring firmwares
(if you update firmware needs the *rst* file extensions for a clean install)

The difference STD /Vector 1 / Vector 2 are the modem codes

Alternative in this link has firmware with the 2 vectoring firmwares for UK (down / last of the page)

Thanks babis3g. According to the release notes:-

"v2760_v1_378" and "v2760_v2_378" are used for supporting vectoring service. It is
designed specially for the ISP providing VDSL2 vectoring service. For IOP issue, you can choose "v2760_v1_378" or "v2760_v2_378" which has better VDSL performance with your ISP to use"

Looks like a case of trying each vectoring version to see which works best. As it happens, according to my ISP my line isn't enabled yet for vectoring so I'll just go with the standard UK V3.7.8

Is up to you ... there are few threads in the forum here about vector
Here find one with a quick search ... (different model from 2860 but both are same chipset & modem codes)
http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=19888&start=20&hilit=vector
For me with adsl works good but as mentioned it all depending each line due to the different modem codes in each formware (STD/vector1/2)
The only issue vector has slower menus because there is another option called hardware acceleration but once disabled is fine (better)

The vector has also this extra menus
http://www.forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=20006&p=82736&hilit=vector#p82733

EDIT
There is also 3.7.8 at UK download pages
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads
Have not tried them if the modem codes are different from main Taiwan .. i just stayed with the Taiwan ones & is fine for me

Shame that menu isn't available on the standard version as it would be interesting to know what chipset was in the DSLAM. Back when I had a 2800, I know Draytek used to use Infineon but I'm not sure if that's true of the 2760/2860 series.

Thanks. I think I'll stick to the UK version - at least for now. :)

2760/2860 use Lantiq (ex-infineon)

You still can see with the STD the dslam from the telnet menu top right looks like equalizer type (adsl show or show adsl)
At the button will show dslam vendor

> show adsl
