subnet issue was created by raffaz
Hi,
I have just bought a 2850n to replace my sky modem SR102.

I have got it all connected up to sky with MER settings but im having issues connecting my network devices. I have checked the LAN settings and they are all on different subnets. Is there a simple way to get these all on the same subnet so all my networked devices can see each other?

Probably an easy question, but i have never seen default settings like this before :)

Cheers

MIck

Mick, by default all devices are on the same subnet.
You would have to either manually assign a different subnet to the different ports, or use VLANs and strip the tags before the traffic gets to the end device.
More over, routing should work by default between devices on directly connected LANs (subnets).

When you say they are on different subnets, are you saying they are plugged into different ports on the router?
