Hi

We have 5 sites. 4 sites have a Dialin IPsec VPN into HQ - All sites have V2830's with HQ having a V2960.
All VPN's are stable. All comms lines are fast.

All sites have SIP phones connected to our Asterix SIP PBX in HQ via their respective VPN's.

Due to a 32 sec call drop issue we replaced our 2830 in HQ with a 2960 recently. This fixed the 32 sec call dropout.
Sites 1-3 are fine, Site 4 has an issue.

Since then we cannot dial out from any SIP ext at site4 to other sites or back to HQ. Dialing IN to Site4 is fine. Can ping all SIP phones and they register and re-register with the PBX fine in HQ fine. Logging reveals that except when registering there is no data reaching HQ from site4.

Every site can ping HQ subnets fine and all sites can be pinged from HQ. File access also works.

We have had this VPN setup for years now (with different routers) and had no issues. Only this SIP issue has cropped up.

Swapping back to the V2830 at HQ made the site4 work fine again.

Have turned OFF all filtering, compared and contrasted ALL settings on both the 2830 and 2960, but just cannot see what it could be?

I'm stumped!!

Hi,
30 second call drop is usually when you have not added the remote networks to the sip.conf, this is because the phones try to comunicate using nat.

Other things to check are your subnet masks and routing tables.
I had some strange routing issues when using policy rules.

Hope that helps.
