2925 - visibility of WAN devices was created by davidsh
Hi

I have a 2925 with a LAN IP of 10.0.0.1 Subnet 255.255.255.0. The 2925 is acting as a DHCP server.

I have two ADSL lines, both connected to the Net using older Vigor routers (2800 and 2820). Those two routers are working fine and are connected to the WAN ports of the 2925.

WAN1 - 2820 - settings within 2925
Static IP
Gateway IP 192.168.1.100
IP for 2925 192.168.1.101
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Settings on the router itself are also the same, and the router acts as a DHCP server

WAN2 - 2800 settings within 2925
Static IP
Gateway IP 192.168.1.200
IP for 2925 192.168.1.201
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Settings on the router itself are also the same, and the router acts as a DHCP server

Both connections work fine i.e. I can connect to the Net via the 2925 but the problem I have is I can't connect to either router directly via the 2925. In other words I can't seek the routers' status pages without physically connecting to each router. I've previously tried putting the 2925 on 192.168.1.1 subnet 255.255.255.0, but that doesn't work either.

Can anyone suggest how I can do this? Or even if I can do this? Is this to do with the IP settings for each router, or is it to do with the 2800/2820 being DHCP servers?

Thanks
David

that is because they all have the same ip range

try
WAN1 - 2820 - settings within 2925
Static IP
Gateway IP 192.168.0.1
IP for 2925 192.168.0.101
Subnet 255.255.255.0

WAN2 - 2800 settings within 2925
Static IP
Gateway IP 192.168.1.1
IP for 2925 192.168.1.201
Subnet 255.255.255.0

reboot all devices

(assuming at the 2800 & 2820 you have left the default gateway & default subnets but only the ip needs to change 192.168.0.1 & 192.168.1.1 ... lan>general setup)

Excellent.

That worked a treat. Thank you very much.

My knowledge of how IP addresses work is flimsy to say the least.
