2860vn plus CRC tolerance was created by it344x
Hello All,
I have recently replaced my 2820 with a 2860vn+ router, and found that it is constantly resetting its connection to my ISP, but always shows zero CRC errors. When I plug the 2820 back in, it registers CRC errors and reboots far less frequently.
Assuming that the lack of CRC tolerance is causing my 2860vn to drop & restart the link all the time, is there a way to alter this?
I am aware that the ( BT ) line is not brilliant, I am using ADSL at this point ( although I will probably upgrade to VDSL as Vodafone are dropping Demon  but I would like to know how to stop my 2860 from constantly resetting.

Any help or advice would be most appreciated.

regards
Martin

Have you updated to latest firmware? (3.7.8 ) using the *RST* file extension ... i remember older firmwares had issue with upnp
Other option to try an other adsl filter or change from PPPoA to PPPoE settings

I had the same problem on standard firmware with either modem codes, so switched to vector firmware and errors were reported and the connection was more stable.
