Connect 2860<>2820 for wifi boost was created by vigorstephent
Morning all. First I am new to the board and to routers so please forgive this if it is a daft question.

Can I connect a 2860n to my older 2820 so that I can boost my wireless capability?
If so How?

I currently have
OPENREACH > (2860- WAN2(GIGA)) this is working well and Wireless is active and working. However I am in an older bungalow with walls so thick that the wireless signal is only good in the garden 20 yeards (6-7M) and in the house into one room less that 5yards (1.5M) . So I wondered if there was a way to connect the 2820 into the system and have it act as a wifi boost by placing it in the loft further towards the areas I want wifi.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Stephen

try with WDS, i think you need disable dhcp (lan>general set up) at the 2820 and i think it may needs via cable (not sure on that)
