2925 managing AP across subnets

Does anyone know whether the 2925 can manage AP900's across different subnets.

I have confirmed that UDP port 4944 is accessible across our network and the AP900 http is accesable but I cannot get the 2925 to see any AP's apart from on its own subnet.

Anyone have any clues on what to try?

Someone correct me if wrong but I think its all layer2 discovery
