I'm trying to uprade the firmware to resolve a couple of odd issues.
I've downloaded the firmware and the update software.

Everything appears to go well until about 60% way through (which takes about 15 minutes to get to) I get a timeout and it aborts.

I've upped the timeout to 900 secs as per another thread, I've d/l'd the firmware and software again, just incase.
All the lan ports are disconnected, except the machine doing the upgrade.

Half a dozen attempts have failed.

The router was connected to the internet at the time, should it be disconnected??


Any help is appreciated.

6 years later and I'm getting the same problem on an old 2600+ going from 2.5.4 to 2.5.9.

Has anyone found a work 'round?

Can you get to 2.5.6 from 2.5.4? Then try going from 2.5.6 to 2.5.9 ? Regards, Neal.
