PPTP using LDAP and MS-CHAP was created by markruys
Hi,
I succesfully set up a PPTP VPN server on a Vigor2960 which authorizes against a LDAP directory (running on a Synology NAS). But only if I use PAP as the authentificate protocol. Probably because this protocol uses plain text passwords and no encrytption.
I would like to get MS-CHAPv2 working, but I don't know how. The LDAP directory does contain entries for sambaLMPassword and sambaNTPassword (lan manager and NT), and userPassword (hashed by crypt).
Did anyone succeed using LDAP as the user authentification type and IPsec or PPTP with CHAP (or MS-CHAP)?
Thanks,
Mark
