Has anyone configured vigore2820n USB port for Network Attached Storage (NAS)?

If you are not worried about group folders / permissions, etc then just plug in the USB drive to the USB port on the Draytek then from the GUI go to
USB Application -> USB General Settings
enable the Samba service and give it an appropriate Workgroup (WORKGROUP) and host name (DATA).
From your PC you can then type into my computer:
\\data
and it will list a folder which you can right click on and "Map Network Drive".
Simple....!!!

But I have done the above, and the problem I have is that under USB disk status, shows " No disk connected".
ps
The hdd is working OK by pluging directly to pc.

I think I found the problem. is because the hdd is NTFS, which is a shame

yes - I think it has to be FAT16 or FAT32. Can not be NTFS.

Thats right. I hope they can do something about it, ie make it available for NTFS.
