Struggling to find any info on setting up Draytek's Smart monitor application with a 5510. The VigorPro devices have a specific port for LAN monitoring and you enable the monitoring using a mngt lanmonitor cmd over telnet.

I've setup the monitoring port and installed the smart monitor application but the software refuses to find the router, "Can not monitor for no Vigor router detected". I have also disabled any firewalls on the PC.

If I install wireshark then data is captured successfully so it looks like the setup is Ok as far as the draytek/cabling is concerned.

Firwmare version of the 5510 is 3.3.5.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi,

Please confirm if you're using SmartMonitor V2.3.0 (and not V2.3.1).

Hi rj,

Thanks for your reply, I am running 2.3.1 - latest download of Draytek's website.

I've found a link for v2.3.0 so I can try this, is 2.3.1 renowned for having problem then?

V2.3.1 version is recommended for DrayTek IPPBX' series.

Please give us feedback on your findings. ;-)

Hi rj,

OK I've removed all instances of 2.7.1 from the PC including the support apps, rebooted and installed v2.7.0 followed by another reboot.

Firewall is still disabled but still getting the same error.

Any idea's?
