Hi,

I am using an apple airport extreme with the Vigor modem and it has been working flawlessly for around 12months, just lately connections have become unreliable so I have been using a netgear router whilst I try to iron this out.

Now, I am unable to get into the setup using 192.168.2.1 unless I plug the mac directly into the modem. I cannot get internet at all despite settings appearing to sync, the light never comes on on the 120.

I have substituted my brand new airport express and this cannot get online either so I can only assume the root cause is the modem?

*edit* it's a V2 by the way.

Hi, could you confirm you're on Firmware version 3.2.6 and also your ISP if possible please?

Hello, I'd suggest firstly that you move up to the latest firmware: ftp://draytek.com/Vigor120%20V2/Firmware/V3.2.6/AnnexA/Vigor120_V2_v3.2.6_AnnexA_332201.zip (use the .rst file for best results!) and see if that improves things.

Thanks Neal, will try it now, I could only find firmware for 3.2.4.4 which is what I've got.

Will report back later.

*later* - It worked! thanks Neal, really appreciate your help - no idea what went wrong but as soon as I upgraded the FW, I got green lights and an internet connection, airport then picked it straight up and away she went. Chuffed, thanks again.
