Wireless Speed on 2710 was created by tomonkey
Hi new to this forum but I've just got a Draytek Vigor 2710 to replace a horrid bebox.

I have the draytek setup and I can connect via wireless using dhcp whcih works well, no drop outs etc. Signal strength is excellent I am using WPA/PSK

However when I run a speed test I only get 1.5Mbps on a 24mb line. If I use a wired PC I get a speed of 18Mbs. I have changed the network card to a draytek usb wless one and it states I am connected at 270mbs yet this card still only provides 1.5mbs connection on a speedtest. All other net cards are disabled except the ones I test with and I have disabled firewall etc.

Anyone any ideas I am losing the will to live. If I have to return to the bebox life won't be worth living.

I use WPA2 on my 2820 and get a way higher speed, I'm limited to 8Mbps and get about 6Mbps with Zen over wireless.

Try using WPA2, see if that makes a difference.

I've also tried a fixed IP instead of DHCP nothing going there either.

What's the wireless card being used to connect to the 2710?
