I have 2 of these to install at home to cover upstairs and downstairs. They will be connected to Cat 5 points running back to my main Router.
Is it best to give them the same SSID and Security Key so that when i go around the house with a laptop/tablet it associates with the strongest WAP ? Or do i setup a separate SSID on each router say UPSTAIRS and DOWNSTAIRS and then connect to each?

I have a similar setup and use the same SSID on all wireless APs. That allows seamless roaming with laptops and smart phone. Remember, idealy to put one AP on channel 1 the other on channel 13 and yourrouter AP on 7 if it has wireless. But the choice depends on other wirelss APs in your neighbourhood. That will stop interference as, each wireless AP actually uses up specrum about 2 channels either side of the mid point.
