All you need to know about Cable Modems and ONT Technology

"Cable Modem" or just "Cable" service is generally used to describe Internet or TV/Phone service provided over coaxial cable using DOCSIS technology. This is provided mostly by Virgin Media (Liberty Global) in the UK and all carriers in North America.

ONT is Optical Network Terminal and primarily used by FTTP services offered BT Openreach and other ISPs.
