ExpiredVigorBX 2000 - How to use the VigorPhone 350 IP Phone with the IPPBX
The DrayTek VigorBX 2000 is a SIP compliant IP PBX system with up to 50 Extensions and any SIP Compliant IP phone or soft-phone can be registered with the PBX system once an extension profile has been configured on the PBX system.
The DrayTek VigorPhone 350 is designed for use with the VigorBX 2000 and supports Auto Provisioning with the PBX system to simplify initial configuration. The information in each tab covers the settings required for a VigorPhone 350 handset to work well with the PBX system.
To configure the handset, access the web interface of the phone. To find its IP address on the network, press the Menu button, go to Option 9 - Network and press the Info softkey.
Manual Registration
Create an Extension profile on the VigorBX 2000 by going to the [IP PBX] > [Extensions] menu, then click on the first available Index number to configure the Extension Profile:
Click OK to save and apply the Extension Profile on the PBX system.
Access the web interface of the phone and go to [SIP Accounts], on there, click on the first available SIP account ID number:
In the profile, configure these settings:
Registration | Enable |
Registration ID | This is the Extension Number configured on the PBX System's Extension Profile |
Display Name | The name displayed on the handset's display, this can be different from the Display Name setting on the PBX's Extension Profile |
Password | This is the Password configured in the PBX system's Extension Profile |
Registration Server | Set this to the IP address of the PBX system, followed by the port number, in the format of "192.168.1.1:5060" if the PBX system is on 192.168.1.1 and phones register to the default SIP port of UDP 5060 |
Expire Time | 360 |
BLF Expire Time | 360 |
DTMF Type | RFC2833 |
Authentication Name | This is the Extension Number configured on the PBX System's Extension Profile |
Voice Mail | Set this to the number configured as the Voice Mail number on the PBX system, which is "888" by default, this allows the Voice Mail key on the handset to work |
Pickup Code | Set this to the number configured on the PBX System as the Call Pickup number to allow Call Pickup to work with the Speed Dial keys on the handset |
Ignore Missed Calls | Specify Hunt Group numbers here for the handset to ignore missed calls on the specified Hunt Group numbers as missed calls |
Click OK to save and apply the changes.
Once the settings are saved on the VigorPhone 350 handset and the details match the Extension Profile on the PBX system, the handset should be able to make and receive calls.
