I'm using a Vigor 130 and I was wanting to know more about the 2 versions of the firmware (BT vs 579F17). I'm on an ECI cab so there is a good match between the chipsets. Which is the best version to use though with this combination?

I'm using alternative firmware on ECI cab with no issues, I read that is the best to use.

I am new to the 130 modem and was using 3.8.4_BT until earlier today getting 46Mbs/16Mbs using talktalk business. I spoke to DrayTek tech support who recommended 3.8.4.1_BT. I am now getting 58/16 which is an improvement. I am not sure which type of cabinet I am on as a TalkTalk customer. I will monitor and try the alternative firmware to compare.

I have just loaded the alternative firmware version 3.8.4.1_m8 and this version will not connect at all. Back to 3.8.4.1_BT and service restored.
