Disable Voip on Vigor2925 was created by spotlightdata
I'd like to disable VoIP on our router, however following these steps seems to re-enable it on reboot:
https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-disable-integrated-voip?return=11334024

> voip sip misc -D 1

System reboot now!

Seems to work, but the router does not reboot. Running:
> sys reboot

Does reboot, but on startup it's back to enabled again...

> voip sip misc -D ?

VoIP Service : Enable

Is there a missing step? ideally we want any unused ports closed.

Thanks

I'm not sure why that command wouldn't work so you may need to check with support what's stopping that from working as it appears you have the syntax correct.

It can be disabled from the web interface, under [VoIP] > [General Settings], just untick "Enable VoIP" and click OK, which should then reboot to apply the change.

Thanks for the reply. I checked and there's no VOIP option in the menu, but there is an enable SIP under the ALG (Application Layer Gateway) which is un-ticked.

I'll check with support, as it appears to be off but the port is still open

That's strange, which router model is displayed on the router's Dashboard?

Also which port is open?

If it's not a model with a "V" suffix, disabling VoIP won't do anything and it's probable that a device behind the router is responding on that port.

The command is specific to the "V" models and is used to disable the router's inbuilt VoIP ATA / FXS ports.

Ah right, model name is: Vigor2925ac and port is 5060

As far as I know nothing is enabled on the network for port
