How do you pronounce "Vigor"? was created by piste basher
I've always assumed that Vigor was pronounced "vigour" , but I see that the Draytek video announcing the 2860L pronounces the i as in "eye". This sounds weird to me. Maybe the Igors of the world have a view?

DrayTek in the UK have always pronounced it to rhyme with Tie-gor, as opposed to bye-gor, but I don't think anyone minds either

Hmmm; I'm from Edinburgh (in Scotland) and I've always pronounced the i in Vigor to sound like the eye next to my nose, The trouble is that some folks to the north of me (e.g. Gaelic speakers) pronounce an i like how I'd pronounce ee (as in feet). Of course, the problem is far more fundamental than that; at a more generic level, the real problems start when discussing a 'router' with someone from the USA (where we pronounce it as a 'rooter' and they pronounce it as rowter) but we better not get into that thorny debate or someone will a UK vs USA war over the pronunciation of the humble tomato! Maybe Draytek should just rename it from 'Viror' to something less internationally ambiguous; perhaps 'Jimmy', or the likes?
