And another!

I posted this on the wishlist years back, seems like a missed/forgotten feature to me.
Even if the router tools could just keep chart and write those details (only) to the router setup (and back it up too)

I use IP binding a lot and the 2800 fails to show dhcp clients after a while so I have to use arp or manual mac entry to even set it up. I keep a spreadsheet but names would help and that is possible in many other routers and free software like IP-Cop.

I am dissapointed that after years of using a 2600 and srv dhcp command that allows for hostname, my new 2820 has a ip bindmac command but no hostname parameter !! :x Shocked, so how do I add the hostname so it appears on my list, seems you can't anymore. Is this a step forward ? Please add hostname to the bindmac command asap please

I agree also that I would find HUGELY helpfully if I could assign names to devices so the 2820Vn becomes my local DNS for my network.

Terrible oversight...

This is a soho router and without the ability to see what is the hostname when you have a list of 30+ binded IPs is silly to say the least...

Why isn't this getting added ? We are at the end of 2010 and still no support for this simple wish. PLEASE ADD IT
