Hi All,

I realise a router can be renamed from the MPOA page or telnet: sys name, however when configuring syslog settings, there's nothing to change the name that is reported to the server e.g. I have renamed the router to site-draytek. In my syslog server entries still originate from Vigor:

Feb 25 08:37:39 WANIP.isp.co.uk Vigor: NAT-Traversal: Using RFC 3947, no NAT detected

When I have many of these devices it will render the syslog pretty useless on dynamic IP clients, as I will not know which messages come from which devices. Am I missing something, or should this be in the wishlist?

Cheers,

I think its the user name, I don't think you can change it.

Has this been resolved? You could certainly change it on the 2800s but where's the setting for the 2820s?
