Hi,
I use the 2820 via the WAN2 setup (Ethernet WAN) and all works fine - However I'm puzzled why the DSL functionality part of the 2820 is still working even though I have disabled to the WAN1 setup in the Admin GUI.

1) ADSL LED still flashing
2) Via Syslog's there are entries still being generate that the DSL is trying to come up.

Is there something more you have to do to kill DSL/WAN1 operating here ? - I appreciate that this doesn't stop the router from working but I find it annoying that the LED is flashing at me and also wonder if the router would save any power by not enabling the DSL functionality ?

Thanks

(Updated this thread if anybody has this question)

This seems to be a known bug when I contacted DrayTek support which is a shame.

I have asked if they can fix this, as I don't see why the 2820vn should be wasting resources CPU/Power polling the DSL port.

Doesnt save on a reboot though.

Any know if this is fixed on the latest firmware ? - I'm vary about updating due to the conflicting reports on stability on the 2820 firmware.

Thanks
Mark.

I don't think it's a bug as much as something that wasn't 'added' - probably doesn't bother many people. I'd imagine the power usage is negligible...put some black tape over it :-)
