Hi folks,

I am trying to help a friend out who has a Vigor 2800VG and has lost the admin password to the router. In any normal case I would just default the router and re-configure. However, the router is configure in a very big way, and we both wouldn't know where to start or how to re-configure the router back to it original state if we defaulted it.

I was wondering if there is anyway we could reset the password without having to loose the configuration. Or if we could download the config blank out the password in the config and then upload back to the router??

Any information would be very helpful.
