2820 = 3.3.2_RC5
2950 = 3.2.4
serial number shown was created by louis-m
how about the serial number shown somewhere on the web/telnet interface. would save having to pull my 2950 out of the rack or looking under a 2820 for the serial number for support?

I found this to be a real pain too, then I realised that I still had the cardboard box the router shipped in, and that had the s/no printed on it.

This is a definite problem when you are supporting remote sites, It should definitely be set in the router
