Demon ADSL2+ cannot connect with 2820

Demon ADSL2+ cannot connect with 2820 was created by hodeyp
Hi,
my ISP (Demon) has upgraded my line to ADSL2+ and now I am unable to connect. The ADSL status shows READY and the WAN1 Status shows PPP-Shutdown, all of the stats (SNR etc) are all 0. I have setup the connection as per other forum chats (PPPoA, Ch 1, VPI 0, VCI 38, VCMUX, ADSL2+ (G.992.5)) I am using firmware 3.3.1.
Demon support have been no use at all, any suggestions on what may be causing this?

If the ADSL stuff is in red means that it hasn't detected the ADSL line. When it's picked it up the status changes to SHOWTIME and the text goes green.

thanks - completly randomly the connection just started working about an hour ago. Nothing had changed and I haven't touched the router for at least 12 hours. no idea why it has started working but does almost suggest there was a problem at the exchange that has now been fixed
