intermittent dropping and DEMON was created by physiosteo
Hi - I have just logged into this forum and have been interested in the number of issues being discussed about Demon and their upgrade.
I, too, have been upgraded to ADSL2+ and have had seven weeks of intermittent connectivity which is driving me round the bend.
Demon are suggesting my 2820 cannot handle the new technology!!! and have suggested sending me a pre-configured router if i agree to sign on with them for another year........
It's a strange problem: the drop lasts only about a minute and as far as i can see does not always show up on the VPN tunnel info that comes up (NB I am no tekkie, a friend set it all up for me and he is flummoxed) . But I am using Citrix and it really gets its knickers in a twist each time.
Can anyone out there help? I have tried both ADSL2+(G992.5) and multimode as instructed by Demon. The multimode seems slightly better.

First of all, I would suggest you get the latest firmware - 3.3.1.2 and try with that. It has only been released in the last few days and is supposed to fix a few connection issues.

Yes, I find 3.3.1.2_232201UK is much better than 3.3.0 for these Demon/CW line drop issues.

Thanks: that has certainly helped but not completely resolved matters.
I have been a little less stressed with it ............
Any other ideas to soothe my soul?

Any other ideas out there? My VPN's are still dropping down several times a day but better than they were. They re-establish themselves but my Citrix server's nose gets out of joint.
Do I have to accept I have to live with this? Gee, thanks, Demon:evil:

I take it your on the C&W LLU ?
If so it's a fault with BT's splitter implementation at the exchange. Incoming voices calls cause the ADSL feed to drop.
Lots of Demon customers (me included) are experiencing the same.
