Hi all,
I've recently bought a Vigor 2700G to replace a Sagem F@ST router supplied (and locked down) by Sky. I've retrieved my username and password from the Sagem and set up the Vigor as follows:
VPI: 0
VCI: 38
Protocol: PPPoA
Encapsulation: VCMux
Authentication: PAP or CHAP
Modulation: Multimode
MAC Address: MAC Address from Sagem
ISP: SKY
User Name: macaddress@skydsl
Password: password from Sagem
Using these settings the Vigor seems to connect ok and I can browse with no problems for about 5 minutes but then pages stop loading.
I've run a continuous ping of google.co.uk and noticed that a few minutes after enabling the router I start getting more and more dropped packets.
I can ping the router's internal IP consistently.
I've used a wireless laptop and a wired desktop with the Vigor's wireless connection turned off.
Only the ADSL cable and the PC ethernet cable are plugged into the router.
I've also disabled the firewall on both PCs and the Vigor's firewall.
If I plug the Sagem back in I get no dropped packets.
I know other people are using Draytek routers with Sky so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, any advice would be greatly appreciated as this issue is driving me crazy
