port forwarding was created by jenodorf
Hi
On a lan I can log onto outlook webaccess using
http://localhost/exchange --- no problem
However from the web I get a page not found. So I'm assuming the issue is with port forwarding?
I've gone into port forwarding and setup external port 80 to forward to internal port 80 on the exchange servers IP address
I'veset it up on both tcpip and udp
Is there something else I should have done?
thanks
Ian

try port 443 (https)
close port 80!
make sure remote management isn't set on the router or change those ports.

Thanks for that. I turend off remote admin and now I see a username and password box. Using a username and password gets me nowhere but at least I can now see the exchange server.
Once I get it functional I will as you suggest change it to port 443
but at the moment I'm happy to have moved forward a little bit.
cheers
Ian

do not enable access to exchange on port 80. the permissions are set to prevent this.
close 80 and open 443. you will be able to access exchange then.
