Vigor 540 Wireless Card - Does it support WPA? was created by alldisaj
I have recently changed over broadband supplier (O2), and they have supplied a new modem/router that supports WPA encryption.
Does the Vigor 540 Wireless Card support WPA? I believe it only supports WEP.
I've got it plugged into an old Sony Vaio laptop running XP (Service Pack 3), and can not get it to authenticate (no matter what I do) when the router is configured with WPA. Even the O2 Broadband Assistant (which fixed an issue on my Acer laptop with built in wireless) can not resolve the problem with the card.
The manual seems to intimate that the card does support WPA, if so, why won't it authenticate to the network correctly?
The firmware version is 0.3 (the latest I believe).
Anyone have any ideas?
